Affiliate disclosure
Domus Aurea Tickets takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. Book through a link on this site and I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Every page carrying a booking link says so, before you click it.
What it means in practice
The booking links and availability widgets here go to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency. If you book after following one, GetYourGuide pays me a percentage of what you spent. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to GetYourGuide directly, because the commission comes out of their margin rather than your pocket. Prices printed on this site are the “from” figures GetYourGuide displayed at the time of writing, and the widget beside them re-prices by date, party size and the option you choose.
What it does not mean
It does not buy a recommendation, and the shape of this site is the evidence. The page I push hardest is the one about booking direct with the park, which exists to tell you that the park sells the same guided visit with the same VR headset for a fraction of what the tours here cost, and to show you how to get one. I earn precisely nothing when you read that and book direct. I put the same comparison at the top of what it actually costs rather than at the bottom, and I say on every review page that the booked tours buy availability, language and free cancellation rather than value.
What I am not
Not a tour operator, not the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, not CoopCulture and not GetYourGuide. I never name the operator behind a listing; I name guides only when reviewers name them first. Ratings and review counts are copied from GetYourGuide unrounded and always sit beside a live widget, so you can see the current figure rather than mine. Where the reviewer material is thin I say so on the page instead of inventing more of it, which is why one of the four write-ups opens by telling you it has five reviews. Official fees and opening arrangements quoted here are the published position at the time of writing — confirm them with the park before you travel.
