Questions about one of the four tours, a correction to something on this site, or an enquiry from an operator: write to [email protected] and I will reply, usually within a couple of days.
Before you write
I am one person with a website rather than a booking platform or a heritage authority, so there are three things I genuinely cannot do. I cannot change, refund or cancel a booking — that is GetYourGuide, through the confirmation email they sent you. I cannot issue, move or look up an official Domus Aurea ticket, because I have nothing to do with the park; for that, go to the official park page ↗. And I cannot tell you which rooms will be open on the day you visit, because it is a live excavation and the answer changes.
What I am useful for
Which of the four listings suits your party, whether the official calendar is worth waiting for on your dates, what to do when it is empty, and whether the visit is a sensible idea for someone in your group who is uneasy about enclosed spaces. Most of it is already written down: start with all four tours compared and the reviews, or go to how to get there if the question is the meeting point, which is the one people most often get wrong.
Corrections are the emails I like best. Opening arrangements, official fees and tour inclusions all move, and if a detail here has gone stale I would rather hear it from you than leave it standing. If a price on this site no longer matches the booking page, or a section of the excavation has closed or opened since I wrote about it, that is exactly the kind of thing worth telling me.
